Fareham Borough Council adopt Collective Portal

Collective Portal will give residents self-serve access to the new garden waste collection service

The Borough of Fareham is a semi-rural area between Southampton and Portsmouth with a population of around 110,000. In April 2022 the council is introducing a revised garden waste service for residents and will be using the Collective Local Portal to make subscribing and managing the service as simple as possible.

Residents will be able to subscribe to the new garden waste service from the Fareham Council website later this year, selecting their preferred bin size and making payment directly in a single step. The website will be powered by the Collective Local Portal and immediately assign a collection day, arrange bin deliveries and update collection schedules.

When the service commences in April 2022, residents will also have real-time access to information about their collections and be able to report service issues.

The council and residents will benefit from a low-administration operation which crews continually update via in-cab terminals, ultimately giving the best value-for-money garden waste collection service.
