Waste Collection Safety Software
Collective Safety
Ensuring the safety of your workers and fleet is paramount when conducting and managing waste operations. Commercial vehicles can pose risks to operators, and due to their size, the surrounding area. Limiting potential risks and issues needs to be a priority in the overall waste management operation as damage caused to the fleet could induce large costs. Collective minimises the chances of these incurred expenses and helps to keep workers safe.
Crew Wellbeing
At Bartec, we not only prioritise the physical safety of crews, we also understand the mental health struggles that many people within our sector face.Â
We have chosen to partner with Andy’s Man Club, a remarkable organisation dedicated to providing vital mental health support specifically for men. Your crew can access links to Andy’s Man Club, as well as other resources for crew wellbeing through our software. Â
Daily Debriefing
A standard feature in Collective is the ability to quickly debrief crews at the end of the working day. Supervisors can talk to crews about any safety concerns they have raised during the day, the results of their daily vehicle check and any defects reported.Â
Additionally, councils can see if there have been any speeding or exclusion zone infringements.
Safer Working Programme
Introducing the Safer Working Programme, a revolutionary service designed to empower local authorities to achieve unparalleled safety standards in waste and recycling collections through comprehensive audits.Â
By leveraging advanced technology and industry expertise, we provide a comprehensive solution to enhance safety and efficiency.
Operational Excellence
Collective Safety helps manage risk by optimising routes for efficiency and ensuring your operators know where they are going, are prepared for potential risks they may encounter, and understand how to manoeuvre each street or premises. The software constantly updates to supply the latest risk assessment for every street and route your fleet takes, and highlights how to approach the street, single-sided, reverse-in and drive out etc, which is displayed clearly in-cab as the operator approaches.
When finding the most efficient route, Collective will always adhere to any exclusion zones or time constraints for schools, places of worship or roadworks, for instance. All route features are embedded within the software to ensure routes are designed to comply with the latest risk assessment, remain respectful to the local area, and limit risky manoeuvres for the fleet.
Use remote auditing to be sure that your crews are working safely and following best practice. Collective Safety uses vehicle telematics, onboard video systems and real-time feedback from your crew in order to audit work regularly, whilst highlighting any areas that require improvement. Measuring safety offers continuous improvement and constant compliance.
SafeActive monitors your keys system so you can make sure your safety systems are being used effectively. You will be notified when the emergency stop is pressed, the autobrake is engaged, or even if the doors are open on a moving vehicle. By keeping track of any dangerous behaviour, you can report back to the crew and advise them on how to rectify their actions, so they don’t cause any accidents or injuries.
Remotely monitoring your vehicles with onboard cameras, 360-degree CCTV and dashcams limits chances of vandalism and theft against your fleet. However, having a mixture of systems across the fleet can be extremely difficult to manage; time-consuming and confusing, especially when you are running multiple software applications simultaneously to access the video feed. SafeActive is designed to pull multiple camera feeds into a single, easy to use tracking and viewing platform to simplify operations.
